Mr. Willie Longshore graduated from Washington High School in 1952, participating in both football and basketball and upon graduation was the recipient of an athletic scholarship to Ohio Northern University. Mr. Longshore transferred to Miami University at Oxford where he received his B.A. in 1956. In 1963 he received his M.A. degree from Kent State University and in 1969 from Lincoln University a Masters in Education Administration.
Mr. Longshore has taught at various institutions, including both Ohio Northern University as an Art Professor, and Ohio State University as Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Photography and Cinema. He was appointed Assistant to the President at Ohio Northern University in 1969 for the purpose of chairing a four college consortium to seek and administer federal grants for academic programs.
Mr. Longshore's photography and paintings have been exhibited at the Massillon Museum and at the Canton Art Institute as well as in many other galleries throughout the country. Mr. Longshore has also had numerous art articles and drawings published in nationally acclaimed magazines.
Mr. Longshore, who is also a licensed pilot, is married to Margaret Frankhauser Longshore, D.O. who presently is a professor at Michigan State University. Mr. & Mrs. Longshore reside in Okemos, Michigan.
