Mary E. Bigsbee, 63 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 22, 2004, in Massillon Community Hospital.

Mary was born on Aug. 29, 1940, in Springfield, Tenn., to Raydell and Nannie (Oats) Bigsbee. Her family moved to MassilIon in 1950 and Mary graduated from Washington High with the Class of 1958. She attended classes at Akron University. Mary had worked for the Massillon Urban League and the A.B.C.D. Dial A Ride and was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Mark Bigsbee, of Massillon; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Falando Ashcraft, of MassilIon; brother, John "Jay" W. Bigbee, of Massillon; grandchildren, Brittney and Marcus Bigsbee, of Columbus; and a special niece, Kimberly Bigbee of Massillon.
