Kelly A. Bodiford-Banks


Kelly A. Bodiford-Banks is a Washington High School graduate of the class of 1988. She lettered in both basketball and track, and threw shot put and discus for Massillon from 1984–1988, placing third overall at the State track meet in 1985. She was the Ohio State Champion in the girls shot put in 1987. Bodiford-Banks was voted All-American in discus, and threw shot put and discus at the University of Virginia. She was the first woman inducted into the Massillon Wall of Champions in 1996. The Kelly A. Bodiford Scholarship Fund through Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1995 to assist students with financial need based on academics and athletic ability. Bodiford-Banks remains active with the Washington High School Alumni Association.
