Ke'Aunte Harris

mhm977

Ke'Aunte Harris, member of SOJCC LLC, is a mom to a little prince named La'Bryant. She is the lead preschool teacher at the Massillon YMCA and has worked there for 9 years and taught for 12 plus years. Harris says, "I love working with the preschoolers because they are at that age where you can help shape their future; teaching children good morals at a young age will set them up for success."

Ke'Aunte Harris is the Executive Director and Founder of BeYoutiful Weirdo LLC mentoring program, which serves over 100 girls in Stark county. Harris says, "I organized this program to inform young girls and women that it is OK to just be themselves. We all have a purpose in this life. We don't have to follow trends, it's OK to be confident, it's OK to say no to things that don't benefit our life and the main thing is that it's OK to be smart and have goals. When we have confidence in ourselves we can do anything!"

During Harris's transition into motherhood, she organized a Mom and Me Support Group called Crown Me King, L. This group is based on Ke'Aunte's journey through motherhood and helping other moms in their journeys as well. She is also an author of "A Positive Life is A Happy Life, Motivation For You and Me", was Soroptimist International of Canton/Stark County's 2019 Ruby Award Winner, and a Leadership Stark County "Twenty Under 40" Candidate in 2019. When she isn't busy trying to make the world a better place, she enjoys reading, writing in her journal, and meditating.
