Brenda McDew Robinson (1942-2002)

Ms. Rob (as her students affectionately referred to her) Brenda McDew Robinson (1942-2002) graduated from Washington High School in 1960. She received her Bachelor of Education degree from West Virginia State University and has completed graduate studies at Kent State University. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was a dedicated biology teacher for 33 years at Massillon's Washington High School, including 30 years as advisor for the WHS S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Club (Student Unrest Committee Concerning Every Student's Success).


Her other affiliations include the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, East Central Ohio Education Association, Massillon Education Association, the Doris C. Allen Minority Caucus, and the Ohio Science Teachers Association.

She was a member of the N.A.A.C.P., Massillon Neighborhood Housing Board of Directors and formerly sat on the Board of the Massillon Urban League, and was a proud member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church. Brenda served as a Director of the Begin-A-New Tutorial program.


Sadly passed away at the age of 60 in 2002. Her legacy continues in the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Club and Alumni groups. Ms. Rob said, "If you can believe it, you can achieve it."
